SG-1 Completed

Stargate has become one of my favorite series since I first heard of it. It took me a couple of years to put the whole outfit together. A lot of that time was spent researching the costumes from the show and what other people had done in order to get the finished outfit that I wanted. The rest of the time was spent putting it together- many hours of sewing stitch by stitch, getting the colors just right, etc.

Now that it's finished, I wear it with some pride. Blood, sweat and tears truly went into this outfit. As I stroll through wherever it is I'm strolling, it's cool to see people smile and shout "Stargate!" at me, not because I'm searching for attention, but because I enjoy encountering other fans of the show. The reason I made this outfit in the first place was because I loved the show and I wanted to provide others with some help on making their own. People smile and take pictures because they have that same appreciation for the series. It's not really even me- when they see the outfit, they're thinking of when the Tau'ri first encountered alien life, fought the Replicators, defended Earth countless times against the Goa'uld, discovered new technology and allies that lived in other worlds, and every time SG-1 stepped through the gate. They went through the same journey that SG-1 did and so did I.
